Dossette Compliance Medication

Sometimes due to the number of medication may be taking, forgetfulness or quite simply you may not be entirely sure when you are to take your medication, we offer a dossette/compliance medication service. Here we simply organise your medication for you in the correct times slots or even at times of the day so you so you don’t have to worry when and what times you have to take them?

How is it setup and who is eligible?

Your GP practice will need to issue you a prescription which tells us to set up the medication into dossette. Please NOTE not all patients may qualify for the service as the GP will need to make an assessment and clinical need for the service.

We organise the medication according to the times the medication should be taken. Inside the box will be a chart giving you a description of each tablet and the times in the day we have placed them. Included in the bag will be the patient information leaflets of each medication so you are always aware of what you are taking.

What if there are changes to my medication?

If there are any changes the GP practice usually inform us and we will make any prompt changes and update our records. We keep an audit of all your medication history so you needn’t worry.

Is the service FREE?

Currently the service is NOT funded by the NHS but we are providing the service FREE of charge, but this may change in the future but currently and the foreseeable future Al-Shafa will provide it free of charge.
