What is the NHS Blood Pressure Check Service?

The NHS Community Pharmacy Blood Pressure Check Service offers free blood pressure checks to help identify people who may have high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which is why it is sometimes known as the “silent killer”. Early detection can help prevent serious health conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, kidney disease, and dementia.

The service is quick, simple, confidential, and available at participating community pharmacies across England.
